My collection, "Vanity for Sale", was inspired by an antique vanity I discovered and restored. I repainted and reupholstered the piece myself, using the fabrics and trims from the vanity stool in the collection. The colors I chose for the vanity, along with the silhouettes of its handles, drawers, and legs, also influenced the designs and overall aesthetic of the collection.

"Feminine Dissonance" explores the female experience of questioning societal expectations surrounding gender identity and sexuality. The collection delves into themes of insecurity about appearance and confusion in self-perception, drawing inspiration from "monstrous" female figures in history and mythology, such as Medusa. Through this, it challenges conventional notions of femininity and reflects on the complexities of identity and self-image.

"Entomode" is a collection that blends 1800s-inspired garments with ideas of fashion sustainability and environmentalism, highlighting humanity's detrimental impact on biodiversity. Drawing on themes of animals, more specifically insects, the collection reflects on species threatened by extinction in tandem with the slower fashion cycles of the 19th century. The design process incorporates recycling fabrics and repurposing damaged textiles and trims, resulting in whimsical, one-of-a-kind garments with silhouettes that appear both vintage and futuristic.
